Ampispazi has just started a new catalogue – Amp Inked – as a vehicle for a 2 track EP coming from new and old faces from the label’s roster. The Berlin – based label has declared that the sound of these releases will be moving towards deeper and dubbier atmospheres compared to their main imprint. It will also feature unique artwork crafted for the label by visual artist Jessica Aaron. The label will be a reflection of a new image consisting of Music and Visual Art to stimulate the senses in an even more profound way.
Fans of Subwax and Daniela De Luz will dig this. The Berlin artist has releases out already on Karasho Recordings and Krakatoa Recordings and debuts with this EP for Mik Santoros’ new project. ‘Merope’ is a relentless journey in which blue melodies bounce and are driven by a rumbling baseline while liquid chords paint the unique scenario for this opening tune. “Nagini’ on the other hand is almost a spiritual trip within the producer’s mind – spacey melodies and an on point snare will take you to a dark but warm place. Magical.
For the visual part, Jessica Aaron mixed her vision of his music mixed with his intimate perception of sound and his final emotional delivery. The 2 minds seemed to have connected straight away. His intricate music composition was then transformed into a mix of infinite geometrical fractals, merging their visions and emotions into a strong conceptual piece of visual art.
Always with Love
